Dear freestyle riding enthusiast,

You have come the right website for tips, training, and preventative measures on keeping your snowboard season intact from opening day to slush cup.

If you would like to Ride at a whole new level this year, Shred injury free all season, Learn amazing snowboarding stretches and exercises, then this could be the most important information you'll find to get you even more stoked and motivated to go progress your freestyle riding this season.

It’s a horrible situation when you make some lame rookie snowboarding mistake which ends up costing you most of the season. Your friends are out there pushing the limits and you’re stranded at home or injured in the Mt. lodge waiting for everyone to come back to boast about the gnar pow day they got.

Let’s make that only a nightmare instead of a reality!

Read on to discover the snowboarding trick tips which offer you the best opportunity to progress your freestyle snowboarding trick list to a new level.

Formula to Success for Controlling Momentum When Dropping-In to a Set of Jumps…..

When preparing to take your opening line to the jump take a visual consideration of the slope angle and its speed and ensure there is a clean line to the jump before dropping-in.
On a steep slope it’s important to identify that you will pick up good speed in a short amount of time.
Now, consider how many speed checks (light turns) approximately it will take to effectively clear the table top by landing several feet past the knuckle of the table top.
It is absolutely essential to generate enough speed before the jump which will allow you to land on the transition of the table top several feet past the knuckle of the jump.
Controlling your momentum into the opening approach to the jump and through the takeoff will determine the amount of velocity you have to effortlessly clear the jump and land in a prime spot on the table top transition.
As a caution it is important to understand that your level of skill and comfort should match the scale and difficulty of the jump you intend on riding. Practice and master all the essential skills for every level of jump and park terrain equipment you use.

A solid piece of advice to stay safe when riding in the park is….

…. ride with confidence and conviction.

Ride as if you can do what needs to be done in a moments notice. Entertain yourself and others with your riding style even as you’re dropping in and start with style and confidence.
When you feel at ease before you go for a big bombing air off a jump, then you can ride with conviction of completing your trick as you visualize yourself successfully sticking a trick with mad style and flow.

Believing in yourself and your training experience will guide you to stomping every landing!

When you bail carry-out the essentials !!!

REMEMBER:

a) Keep your body fairly loose when falling.

b) Always keep your head supported with your chin pointed towards your chest when impact is made with the ground.

c) Don’t outstretch your arms to break your fall either when falling forwards or backwards. You will break your arm.

d) Try to let a larger part of your body impact the ground to break the fall and keep them damn ARMS TO YOUR SIDE.

e) Your arms should also be somewhat loose and relaxed for impact.

f) As you’re falling bend your knees to bring your body closer to the ground to reduce the height and impact of the fall.

g) Try to roll slightly through the bail when you contact the ground.

h) Try to keep your mouth closed so you don’t bit your tongue.

i) Many riders find that making a fist when they bail helps to prevent hand and wrist injuries.

RIDERS’ RULE:  Basically 95% of the time it is your duty to watch for fallen riders. But when you're out there, not everyone understands the rules of engagement, so move out of the way after you’ve bailed on a jump or in a blind area on the hill where people are jumping or moving fast.

A major aspect of staying safe and preventing injury on the hill is your level of alertness. When you’re tired or have taken a couple few too many falls – STOP – Take a breather to let tired muscles recuperate or they will not react for you as you would like or need. Really take a solid rest and drink water to stay hydrated. The cold can truly take a lot out of you so be mindful of how much fuel you got left in your tank.
